Cream Cheese Danish

Ingredients

  • 2 (8oz) Bars Simply V Plant-Based Cream Cheese 

  • 1 Cup Sugar - Granulated

  • 2 Tablespoon Vanilla

  • 2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

  • Make or Purchase Vegan Danish/Puff Pastry Dough

Instructions

For the Filling: 

  1. Place Simply V Plant-Based Cream Cheese and sugar in mixing bowl (if you have a stand mixer this is preferred).
  2. Beat/Mix Simply V Plant-Based Cream Cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add vanilla and lemon juice and mix until combined.
  4. Filling is ready to use.  

For Danish: 

  1.  Make or purchase Vegan Danish/Puff Pastry Dough.
  2. Cut or use a 5x5 square portion or 6x6 square portion. 
  3. Egg wash the dough lightly.
  4. Place 2 ounces of filling in center of dough.
  5. Fold two opposite corners of the dough across the center.
  6. Egg wash, lightly sprinkle with course sugar.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
  8. Cool and serve.
